Maybe a little for me but I do have a fair gap, for me it's a case I never got on with hybrids and find a 7 wood a really useful club and I can use it from tricky lies
Ahh closet 7 wood admirer ehtheres only one cure.......
On the hunt for a chape 5 wood. After that I will pursue a 7 wood.
I don't get the ill feeling towards 7 woods. I would play a chipper if I knew it would save me shots!
what distance would you use a 9 wood from?
Gary, get one of the cleveland classic xl 5 woods. £50 new all over the place. I got one the other week and its a great club, almost robbery getting them brand new for that. I used the code at snainton aswell for a discount
Absolutely not important but the coolest headcover aswell......
It went into my bag when I was deep in the middle of Shanksville, I've since come out the other side (whoops, I shouldn't have said that...) but I've now formed a bit of an attachment to it.
It goes around 160 to 175 yards with tremendous height so it's great for clearing higher trees when I'm a bit off line.
I also use it from thick rough, when I can't think what else to use or when I fear I might damage one of my more expensive clubs.
I absolutely love mine, so much i even re gripped it with a bright red grip for no reason at all. Cost me 8 quid and its absolutely knackered. I can play any shot with it and has around a 220ish carry. I read you can get an 11 wood in the steelhead range but never seen one.
Nothing wrong at all with using a 7W - the score on the card is all that matter regardless of what club is used.
Had an old V Steel on years ago
