Oh Rory....

"Lean" has been stretched a bit far there Brendy. He pretty much squatted on it.
While I dont think its the worst thing in the world, I do question the example set at thjngs not going your way.
I had a bad day in the office on Friday, you know what? I didnt smash my laptop into a million bits. I am sure we all have bad days but just accept that it happens and, like adults, get on with it.
Is there a correlation between people who find it an acceptable example and people that are club-chuckers themselves?

For those who are offended by him leaning on his club and it bending, why are you offended? Seriously, why?

It's nothing to do with you and doesnt affect you in the slightest, so why get offended by someone leaning on their club and it bending?

I've broken loads of clubs far more spectacularly than this. Some one needs to teach him the proper way to snap one. That looked a bit wimpish to me. Half hearted effort, 4 out of 10.

Nope, I'm not a club checker by any means and I don't see the problem.

I don't think anyone has said it offends them, it certainly doesn't offend me, I do however find it immature, pathetic and symptomatic of a flawed character.

Thats nowhere near a similar analogy. Did you close your laptop lid perhaps a little more fiercely than normal, or have you on occassion? Thats much more a similar thing. Could be the catch popped out and it needs a quick repair. Rory's club isnt in a million pieces, it's not even in two pieces.

And what's club chucking got to do with it? There hasnt been an instance of that since yesterday when Duffner lobbed his into the stream after duffing his chip.

Not saying anyone is, was curious as to whether there was a correlation.

I dont find it offensive, I dont know if his character is flawed. What I feel is that damaging things out of frustration is not a good example. We all talk about attracting young people to the game is that what we should teach them is acceptable?
My son is 3 and already I try to instill in him to look after his toys, maybe just my miserable Fifer upbringing in a non-disposable environment.

They probably do or they deserve to go bust TBH, I doubt any of their other tour players have a deal for 150 mill.

edit - Tiger excepted obviously.

£150m over how many years? His contract is pittance compared to the likes of Kobe Bryant (arrested over alleged rape) and Lebron James.

Nike as a company supports its athletes in the long run and won't be fretting over Rory's 2013 season so far.
