Oh Rory....

The holier than thou folk are along I see.

Not really. If he had snapped it over his knee then that's one thing, I've seen it done on the course in frustration, but that was more premeditated than that.
Bang it on the ground, sling it across the fairway, they are knee jerk reactions. Leaning on the club like that isn't and I've seen him do it before but didn't bend the club.

Some folk need to get a bloody grip.

He's bent his shaft in a fit of anger for christ sake not bloody well murdered a kid!!

Jeeeeeesus.

We know he hasn't killed anyone. As an ambassador for the game we know and love that was wrong. I'd tell anyone I was playing with the same too. And we have seen him throw clubs too. In fact I'm sure he once threw his 5 iron further than I can hit mine.

Stupid analogy there Dodger, it's he that needs to get a grip. All he has done is demonstrate to the watching public that he is a huffy brat when things aren't going his way. He could of course just take the rough with the smooth and retain a bit of dignity.

wonder how everyones patience on here would hold up after 4 days on that course........................................................................

I am amazed that folk watch him taking out his frustrations and then sit and think "That's terrible,as an ambassador of Golf he can't be doing that, that brat should show some dignity, shocking behaviour!"

Amazing how easy folk are upset by trivial things isn't it?

Each to their own.

:)

and none of us are the 2nd best player on the planet being made to look very average by a brutal course...... that would wear thin after 4 days !

I can't really see what he did that was so bad.
He lost his temper, due to frustration from playing poorly, and bent one of his own clubs, showing some emotion sadly lacking in many of todays' top sportsmen.
Whooopeee do. I've done worse and I suspect most of you have.
Move along, there's not much to see here.

Slime.

If one of your kids did it, or something similar, would you find it acceptable or would you remonstrate with them?
