Oh Rory....

Wasn’t on here last night, thank goodness. Rory bending a shaft, dear dear dear dear dear. He should be tied to the nearest wicker basket, made to wear John Daly’s breeks, slapped about the face by that rather large British wumin golfer who’s name escapes me, go to the Sergio true temper clinic for spoiled brats that canny hit a cooo on the erse with a shovel.
Only then will he be allowed to give us entertainment and win another major championship.

How could you forget Catriona Matthew MBE?!

Or Laura Davies CBE?! :D

Laura certainly built like an American Fridge-Freezer, but reputedly once commented that she would only be worried about her size when she couldn't get into her Ferrari!

I'm struggling to work out how anyone would call Catriona large, unless they were just a stick with a head on top

Maybe needs to be a 'Sarcasm' smilie just to help some of you semi-nationalistic Scots!

She was rather large when I last saw her 'in the flesh', but she gave birth quite soon after! :D

Do people really think the Nike Execs are giving a monkeys?

I would think they do Martin , they are paying a young guy alot of money to endorse their product , this guy was Number 1 in the world winning majors & a breath of fresh air to the game ,

THEN....he starts playing their gear an representing their brand and his game is gone walkabout , he is walking off the course and now he is bending clubs .. whether its true or not people are blaming the clubs for Rors form , that cant be good for Nike surely ?

As for bending the club incident , i agree its no big deal but with other sports kids think its ok to copy their "idols" behaviour , we already blame golf on tv for kids pre shot routines and on course behaviour etc, i have no doubt if most of us were playing a club comp & the guy with us did that we would think he was a (insert a smiffy word)

IMHO Rors is in a bad place at the mo , he will sort it out and be back as good as ever , but he has to remember if your paid big money to represent people & be in the public eye , how you act is how you will be judged & the bad stuff will be remembered alot lot longer than the good stuff ..

I like Rory but any Sportsman breaking or throwing his equipment due to his own poor performance just looks childish and frankly pathetic. Can we understand his frustration and have we all considered doing the same thing or even actually done it? Certainly. Does it make it any less childish and pathetic? Nope.

Hopefully, unlike some on here, he will recognise it as poor behaviour and try to do better next time he feels the frustration boiling over.

why do you feel the need to be condescending and bring up race in the conversation?

What a load of tosh has been written in this thread!

Nike execs will certainly not be losing any sleep over this incident. In fact, they could well be prompted to use the incident to demonstrate the passion of their players!

Their latest ad for golf shoes demonstrates they are simply focused on Marketing!

Exactly, Nike wont give a monkeys to Rorys current form, the deal is done and they can do nothing about it other than hope he can get a change of fortune in form.
