Oh Lucky Me, onto Round 3

Played a board comp today, second round against a 14 hc. To say he is useful of that mark is an understatement.

As it happens we got stuck behind two fourballs, one of which either ignored us or couldn't see us. I stayed calm all the way but my opponent struggled with the delays. Level at the turn I went 1down after 12, but managed to get back to level on the 15th. As luck would have it we shared the next two. Having the honor on the last was quite nervy, it's not my favourite hole, but somehow I swung steady and made the green. My opponent was way short, he then pitched about 20ft past the flag to leave a down hill put, his third stroke/shot went to within a foot so I conceeded, leaving me two puts to win, from about 15ft I dollied one to an inch.

One happy golfer today, as when I left home I wasn't expecting to make the 18th.

I played the first round tonight at my place against a 9 handicap, he wasn't at his best but I was solid all the way and won 6&5.
