Off to demo some new toys tonight!

Taking a trip 30 mins down the M5 to Bristol to (re)demo the Titleist 910 Fairway and Rescue and the R11 Fairway and Rescue along with the Burner (hopefully) and the Mizzy's as well to try and find out which ones I'm going to get for my birthday.

Can't wait.

They have those fancy self loading tee thingys, which is nice too. Saves me bending down!

I found them no less horrible than normal driving range rubber tees, but you're right, nothing compared to normal tees.

I don't like these fancy self loading tees either!

-There's a big hole round the tee which i find off-putting
-I prefer my tee for my 3 wood in between the 1st & 2nd settings
-It reloads after a practice swing sometimes
-I get through more balls in my alloted time, therefore spending more than i intended!

Have fun with the prospective new clubs tho!!

So what was the verdict.

The verdict is: The Bristol Golf Centre aren't all they're cracked up to be!

I re-demo'd the 910 and R11's but despite alluding to having them on the phone, they didn't have demo clubs for ANY Mizuno woods (!) or the Burner Superfasts.

Of the two I demo'd, I gave them a more in depth go than I did a couple of weeks ago.

My verdict is that I prefer the 910's and unless I can get a demo of the JPX's and the TM Burner Superfast's I'll probably go with them. I found both the 3 wood and 3H easier to hit and the heads were ALOT lighter on the Titleist's (weird that I don't find the head on my R11 heavy).

They have a proper demo day on Saturday which I can't make, and I can only assume they will have all necessary clubs by then as they're advertising it pretty heavily...Just a shame I can't make it!

It's still the best stocked golf shop in the area though.

Just spent most of my morning here, the tee`s weren`t the problem, it was the 20 year old rented clubs (or possibly my swing)....
