quick question...

do you like to have all the same clubs ie, if you got nike irons do you like to have nike driver and wedges ect??

Or would you just go with whatever best deal you find whichever brand it is??

Say for instance you got a 58 degree nike vr wedge would you look for the same in a different degree or wouldnt it bother you if it was a ping?

Personally I think with wedges it's probably better to have the same, however no need for driver, woods, irons and wedges all to match. I know people that do, but as you can see from my bag I am far from matching.

At first i had a mixture of taylormade, nike, mizun, cobra, titleist and odessey. Im going all Ping gradually except my putter which will remain for a good few years.

I have no problem but you have to be careful with lofts, one makes 3 iron is another's 4 iron! They can vary up to 4* for the same club number!

Went to get fitted for clubs today. I had cobra down to PW and hoped to pick up a set of S3 iron fitted to me. Ended up walking away with Callaway ones! Totally ruined my branding just check the sig!

On the other hand I do like to have a hat branded to match some of the gear I use. Got a Nike visor, and a Cobra cap. Sickened me to buy a Titleist cap the other day when I forgot mine and it was raining. Actually was tempted to buy a Vokey Wedge when I got my irons just because of the hat!

Not with club brands, as you can tell by my sig my manufacturers are pretty varied.

I do, however, get OCDish in the bag. I won't start a round unless all my clubs are in order. Putter in one divider, wedges in another, PW/9/8, 7/6/5, 4/3 and then my woods.

I also mark all my balls the exact same way.

i always thought it would be sensible to have at least a couple of irons that were different brands (ie so that you could hit a low shot when needed rather than normal high trajectory) and similarly split the 3W and 5W in a set; with wedges either split bounces or weight

But then if someone kindly offered me a full set of wonderful matched beautiful top knotch world class clubs, then who would i be to complain ...

TM all the way except a Cally Lob wedge and an Oddie Putter - not sure i could buy any other i.e driver without having to change the lot! OCD and all that.....

Although 12 of my 14 are the same make, it wouldn't bother me if they weren't. I just happened to buy them all together from one fitting when I started getting into golf again.

Go with what works for me and not fussed about brand loyalty:

My driver is a TM superquad
3+5 wood are TM Burners
Irons 3-PW are Mizuno MP53's
Wedge is a 56* Titleist, yes only one
Putter is Scotty Cameron
Ball Srixon Z Star at the moment
All in a ping bag lol.

I always like to play the same wedges as my main iron set. Unfortunately, Ping don't make an i15 sand wedge but the Tour-W is ok.
I like all my irons set out in a specific way in the bag, get really irritated when they end up in the wrong slot (as they tend to if you are using a buggy)....

Just experimenting with a couple of different woods at the moment. But my Pings are staying in the bag....I think.
