Not long now

Evening: the Christmas Sandwich... Best bit of the day.

brings back memories of my youth. it started because all my christmas tea went between two slices of bread then became a challenge to see just how big a sandwich I could create - and eat - and all because of parental objection to a 'simple' sarni.

A "Jamies Christmas" dinner cooked by wifey. What's this? It's a dvd I bought as a £1, joke present a few years ago that is now the Xmas Dinner Bible! That man is a genius. OMG have a root around and get a copy, probably on e-bay. It will be the best £1 you've ever spent !

PS When I'm King, Sprouts WILL be banned. Disgusting things.

Well I will have ... what ever is left!!

I am fortunate in that I help host Christmas Day for about 50 less fortunates .... this includes both food and entertainment and I can assure you it is difficult to clean up at the end of the day without having this wonderful Christmas feeling!

Older/younger, some with and some without homes, some on their own and others with ailing partners but all leave with their Boxing day 'doggy' bag and the Christmas spirit look in their faces.

Can't wait!!
     Well done that man

I can assure you that ALL the folk on here are the same as this 'man'!

If you had the opportunity I feel sure you would also have the same Christmas feeling.

Last year, during the lull in proceedings as the main course was being enjoyed, I said to one of my fellow helpers - "This, for me, is just what Christmas is all about?" .... No reply! I looked round and tears were rolling down his face - and he is a big 'hardy' as well!!

Anyway, just help spread the Christmas feeling and who knows ... maybe the Big Fellow will give your ball a friendly bounce!

Mmmmmmmm pigs in blankets, we are just deciding between capon and a three bird roast!! At the mother inlaws so I don't have to cook either!! Oh the joys of having 5 sets of parents!!

I've not decided yet.
It's either Lamb with all the trimmings
Fillet steak, sausage and chips with onions and sauce
or Steak pie surprise (it's actually curried chicken in the pie :D)
All equally yummy
And maybe something chocolatey for pud pud
