Nice write up for Lottie Woad.

A very talented player and it will be interesting to see how she fares once she turns pro. I wonder if she will got via the LET or try and get her US card immediately
One of the stars from a local club and great supporter of the County who had a great US University record, got her LPGA Tour card this year via the Tour school.
If you have enough ranking points from your amateur career you skip a couple of pre qualify rounds.
The LET money outside the ARAMCO events is so low that few can make a living, so this is the best route if you are eligible.

Interesting that Lottie Woad's FSU teammate Mirabel Ting - who has just become WAGR #2 behind Lottie, had a bit of a 'mare of a 1st Round - finishing +4. Word from the course was that she was very nervous going out...well that's top level golf I suppose - how well you cope with your nerves

Solid two days by Lottie…her coach says that she’s barely put a foot wrong over the two days - so they are very excited over there about the next two days.

Her target was getting within two shots of the lead after the first two rounds - and if in the hunt after first round if possible be in the last group out for the third. Job done on both. Out last with the American Romero, with two really good Spaniards out immediately before them. Watch out for Asterisk Talley - young lass capable of mega bursts of birdies.

Lottie a bit off her #1 game today…though coming 3rd is no disgrace.

ETA..wrong club overshooting green on 10th and the resulting double - crucial…and just a wrong club. Plus putts not quite dropping or taking the slope…fine margins.

Great round by the smiley Spanish girl, I was happy she won.
Do we know what the length of the course set up is that they play? Also green speed versus next week?
The course doesn’t seem to present the same problems that it does in the traditional tournament mode.

Enjoyed watching the conclusion and felt for Lottie but the winner seemed to be enjoying her golf and found it all a bit over whelming after as you'd expect
Lottie is incredibly driven and focussed - winning is all - and she can get furious with herself and the world in the moment…before putting it behind her. I’ve heard that after a period of reflection Lottie realised that coming 3rd was a pretty darned good attempt to retain it; that Escuder played brilliant golf over back nine, and the fact that her closest rivals in the world rankings were quite a bit back and so her points lead is likely to increase a bit.

The most important longer term target for her for this year is to be #1 at end of season (end August) as she’ll win the McCormack medal for that (she won it last year), as that gets her the LEAP points she needs to get direct entry into the LPGA tour…if she hasn’t already achieved that by then.

Surely LEAP access is the be all. Mind you a big step up once she turns pro and while she is dominating at the moment, hard to be driven and focused if she starts misses cuts. Rose said much the same way back in the day although he didn't do too badly in the end
