Nice write up for Lottie Woad.

And yet still most coverage of Lexi Thompson!
I watched the first hour or so and apart from Lexi didn't see anyone driving just a putting fest! Also In - Gee Chun was 4under and again, didn't see her once.
I gave up in the end and watched the Chase! 😩

Had to turn over as well because it’s just a Lexi Thompson show

What is wrong with that? People want to see the most popular golfers 🤷🏻‍♂️
Pity all the Lexi-haters, whining and moaning that the coverage is focused on the most popular, and charismatic golfers..
😂😂😂
Sorry…are we talking about Tiger and Rory, or Lexi here? Because it is exactly the same point, yet now you seem to recognise how ridiculously obsequious and cheerleading it is, rather than broadcasting

I agree, I want to see the most popular golfers too. I've no hatred towards Lexi Thompson, far from it. It's generally said from the commentators that she is a very likeable person.
It's a shame though that they can't be more balanced with their broadcasting.

Just to add, most popular golfers, Charley Hull, very popular but hardly saw her at all, even when she was the same score as Lexi - 3 over.

I’m not sure when she became popular but the feed was just her and one other golfer in the hour I watched - with the added bonus of the play being slow

It was no different when it was Woods dominating the pictures

It is a big story for US golf as she had announced her retirement and then was doing well in this event but shouldn't be an excuse to blanket coverage

Interesting that the Chevron had a five-way playoff…also interesting that the playoff score was -7 and that that was the leading score after the 1st and 2nd rounds. Suggests that the course was either very tough (at just under 7000yds it was certainly long for ladies)…or playing very tough, or both.

Thinking as Lottie was unlucky with the weather 1st round being a late starter and the weather much worse for them, that’s what made the difference to her making the cut and not making it. Tough game golf at the top level when the weather can make such a huge difference in outcomes and making cuts given they are all VG players 😳. I’ll get the inside on what happened.

Lottie has been picked for the Arnold Palmer Cup International team (USA vs International Ryder Cup style comp for US College and Uni Students) gets her one LEAP pt…3 now required. Was always a v likely but still had to happen.
