Good point. It would have been even worse with him. There's no love lost between the Saints and Bucs. New Orleans DE Cam Jordan was quoted as saying "Now that Brady's retired, Tampa will go back to where they belong". Yep, another division title. That one got sent his way a ton on Twitter last weekend.

My sympathies go to anyone attending this week's London game - Patriots v Jaguars. The good news for Jacksonville is they will fire Doug Pederson after the game. The only hope for Pats' fans is the development of Drake Maye for the rest of the season. But after 20 years of success, no-one else in the NFL has any sympathy for Pats fans  :ROFLMAO:

As a Pats fan, I feel I have a certain connection with the Man Utd fans. We both know our best days are behind us and it is not going to be this decade that we can start ripping other teams to bits again. 😖

As a Washington fan our best days are behind us and not going to be any time this side of 2050 we can start winning titles again. Even United have a chance before then

Question. When they kick off and the opposition catch the ball in the end zone and take a knee why do the teams still run up to the kicker?

Commanders on the march on the road

Err no it was actually at home. It also only counts as half a win as it was against Carolina, the worst team in the NFL. I do actually feel sorry for them as their coach Dave Canales is a friend from when he was OC of the Bucs. He just now works for the worst owner in all of sports, David Tepper. The Commanders lost QB Jaydon Daniels to bruised ribs which is a real concern as they have some tougher games coming up. No way they keep winning with Marcus Mariota playing QB.

The Bucs play MNF tonight against the Baltimore Steamroller running game Ravens. So completely at a loss for what to do without a Sunday game. Was the guest on a Canadian ice hockey podcast where I talked about my involvement with the Tampa sports franchises and particularly the Lightning but I can't do more than 20 minutes of Redzone. Time to set the alarm for a 1.15am start tonight. And we've got another one in two weeks against the Kansas City Swifts.

Hopefully Daniels was only taken off as a precaution given the opposition.

While Carolina are excruciatingly poor, I still take huge positives from putting up 40 points again. Are we gonna win the thing? Nope. But they’re heading in the right direction for the first time in a very very long time!

Another frustrating loss for Miami and another completely inept offensive performance. At some point McDaniel has to start holding some players accountable for their repeated failures and bench them or his seat is going to become very, very warm. The team is making the same mistakes week after week. We have a TE (Julian Hill) who commits multiple penalties per game, we have a special teams that really is "special" and we have backup QB's who are all terrified to actually throw the ball. With the game on the line at 4th and 2 we got to watch Tim Boyle throw the ball 10 yards out of bounds as apparently he wasn't aware it was 4th down. Another game which they really should have won if they could just stop shooting themselves in the foot.

McDaniel isn't completely blameless either as he is still making head scratching calls at exactly the wrong time but players have to execute better. It may have been a terrible call to call a fullback dive on 1st and 10 at the opponents 13 yard line when you have a fresh RB in the game who is gashing them but at the same time you don't expect your FB to fumble the ball either.

An interesting point about Miami is that this season every QB that has started a game behind this OL has ended up being injured. That's Tua, Thomspon and Huntley have all been knocked out of games behind this line. Last season the GM (Chris Grier) famously (in Miami fan circles anyway) told the media that "you guys are more worried about the OL than we are". The OL stunk last year and their approach this year after their best interior lineman left was to replace him with his backup and to draft a backup LT in the 2nd round in what looks to have been an awesome draft for interior OL.

I'm fast approaching the watch Redzone every Sunday stage as it's painful watching these Dolphins.

There are some clips doing the rounds of the Miami players not exactly taking it seriously on the sidelines against the Colts yesterday. Definitely worrying times in Miami.

Probably the one with McDaniel joking around with Waddle and Hill? That was just before the 2nd half kick off when things still looked OK.

Tua's press conference today. I've never seen him be so hostile and peeved off at these before. He's usually all smiles and joking around but he was pretty aggressive in this one. Interesting that he said he's not had a single symptom since the day after the concussion and he can still remember the play before the hit and he can remember everything in the changing room after.

Makes me wonder if Miami put him on IR to protect him from himself or they did it due to the optics of his concussion on prime time. Either way it's basically screwed the season, I've no doubt Miami beats the Titans and the Colts at a minimum with Tua in the line up.
