I watched Our Ex Wife last night. It was the best sitcom I've seen for years. Loads of, VERY, funny lines and visuals. Fab start, I hope it keeps this standard up. If it does it's going to be a classic!!!!

Thanks - Got it on iplayer so will watch it tonight. Wasn't sure about some of the new stuff - ie remakes of Porridge and Are You Being Served but missed this new one.

Not a sitcom, but I've just started watching The Five (it's on sky catchup).
Looks promising.
Also Shades of Blue.

I quite like the remake of Porridge.

It got hammered in the press however no-one seemed to understand that it wasn't a remake - it was a follow-up. Nevertheless the script by the original writers, Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais, was sharp, witty and funny.

However comparisons to the brilliance that was the original Ronnie Barker series would have made it a tough sell to the wider market.

I thought it was decent and really well written with lovely nods to the original but I didn't really see the point.

just watched the new 'goodnight sweetheart' thought it was very funny and screaming out to be made into another series.but as i loved the old 1s and still watch them on forces tv,i find them like only fools and horses.still laff even though i seen them all before.

I caught the ones on Forces TV but they always seem to be a loop of the same 6-7 episodes so have stopped bothering

I too thought that the Goodnight Sweetheart new episode was well done.

Apart from it being set in a different era it didn't stray to far from the original series in the way it was written and acted out.

I really enjoyed it and I think it's been left wide open for a new series

Apart from the remakes of old sit come the others were pilot shows. the first one being Home from Home with Johnny Vegas and Joanna Page.
I thought it wasn't too bad. Our Ex Wife was good but I'm not sure how a series could pan out.
