New section for the magazine?

Definitely not interested in a fitness section. I know the shape I'm in and it isn't big or clever and won't be changing anytime soon. As a one off supplement I can see the potential but not sure it is worth a couple of valuable pages per month

The only, and I mean only decent thing about Sandy Lodge is the half way hut. Actually, it is a just past half way hut.

No fitness stuff please. Not interested. Golf specific fitness is just 'fitness light'.

I'd be interested in a health/fitness section.

The thing with Mens Health is that they're not targeted to a particular sport, it would be useful to have golf specific advice.

Some ideas - How to strengthen core muscles; Are niggles/injuries serious or not, can I play through them, what is the best cure.

Given the number of bacon and sausage brigade posting here, a list of the best halfway huts probably wouldn't go amiss, but but don't forget to include the distance and response times to the local A&E :p

I don't think a one off feature would be a bad idea, those that are not interested can just ignore it and skip to the shiny shiny new gear section. By fitness, I'm assuming you mean excercise? How about a piece on nutrition, seems like there's plenty here could do with some info on that, much as they'd not want to hear about it. Am sure I read something recently about pork/ bacon/ ham being a prime cause for sapping energy..... Yeah, I was disappointed too, nothing better than a bacon and/ or sausage bap with HP sauce at the halfway, but needs must and all...

If this proposed section is implemented, could I put myself forward as moderator for it?
I know everythng there is to know about fitness.

So will this be Smiffy leading Mike H and his team doing exercises in Lycra?........or even worse mankinis.

:D

Seriously though, putting too much of an emphasis on fitness in the mag would be like adding a financial section to the Sunday Sport. People are interested in other things.

A fitness pull out section in the Mag is a great idea.

I quite often read the mag when sitting on the pan.

The pull out will come in very handy when i realise that our wee boy has finished the bog roll again and not put in a new one :)

There could be a fitness section one month than the following month there could be a section for fat mess' s on the top 10 flavour crisps and answers for 'why my body repulses women'.

I think it's a good idea. Even a few golf specific stretches for a warm up might be a start.

And people would do them for what, a week, tops. No one likes looking a berk on the first tee, and most peoples idea of a warm up is running to get to the tee on time.
