New look GM...

Jezz have you been on the shandies? No idea what your are talking about

It was merely a reply to daymond's question about where the rules answers were earlier in the thread, but I forgot to 'reply with quote'.

Sorry - end of a long day up at Lytham (and no, I haven't hit a single shot!)

'Long day' would also explain the bizarre use of the word 'cottom' as a completely inadequate and incomprehensible substitute for the more common term 'bottom'!

Need some food now, and possibly one of those 'shandies' to which you refer...

LOL, that makes sense now. You may not have got to play Lytham but you got a cheeky game in with Kev yesterday ;)

Well it looks a bit different but nothing radical. All the regulars and old favourites are still there. Will need a bit more time to go through it properly.

Couple of things caught my eye straight away though.

1. Compare the post impact postition of the old guy with the purple shirt and pony tail on page 111 with the young guys on page 139.

2. Interview coming next month with aforementioned old guy with pony tail. That will be good!

Have read the first few pages and am just about to read it properly now :) as oddsocks said though, we're in March, why is it the May issue already? It would look odd for someone looking back on previous copies to see build up to the Masters in May
Still, like the new layout, paticularly the coaching section, the problem and fix struck me as much clearer :) Oh and had a quick look at the forum section, good work Tiger, looks like we won't have to worry about that section for a long time :D

Thanks fella :) in terms of months we get 13 editions (one every four weeks). So that's why they go out of kilter and why we get an Xmas edition

I was having a think today and I was thinking about some of the thing that the magazine used to have, like the 'What's in your bag' bit for the pros, and also the GM monthly challenge, both which I quite enjoyed I wouldn't mind seeing them being re-introduced to the Mag

Interesting that because I was never a fan of what's in the bag. It never really meant much to me as I'd never be modelling my bag on Luke Donald or Rory McIlroy. I do like the new feature on speciality shots though :)

Jezz that's a fair point ;) but does this mean your civvies are a bit too smart or your work clothes are bordering on casual?

Got mine yesterday and had a quick flick through wondering what had changed - following on from reading this thread yesterday. Am I wrong to say that I didn't really notice anything different......?

Got a 13 hour trek to Japan via Rome next week, put mine aside for now, will take a closer look then.

The changes are primarily artistic in terms of layout, fonts, use of colour etc rather than content though as mentioned above I like the bit about Faldo's long iron game :)
