So, HDID are launching a new app on 12.01, bringing together some separate branches under one roof. A quick guide is above.

Hard to judge whether it is an improvement until it is up and running but from the guide, it looks clean enough. Whether your club ticks all of the boxes for what is shown, I guess that is up to each club.

Our club have told us not to download or attempt to use it in the meantime until they've had a chance to test it etc.
Makes sense what your club say, they can have a play and see if there are any glitches. Let everything settle down and then people can download it.

Good timing to launch it, when people are barely playing golf. Better than launching it in May

Been informed that the IG App is being replaced with this, members no happy the Ad free version is going to be around £13 PA, another money making exercise

It's £2.99 with ads.
The ad-free version is £9.99, but there's a club subscription option that works out a lot cheaper than that for the vast majority of clubs.

Oh really? Our club is on IG member app. Would be a shame to lose it, as it actually seems to work fairly well.

Surely club members wouldn't have to buy the app themselves to access club info etc they should get as part of their membership?

The igMember app is rather poor - so bad in fact, that it just renders web pages for most things - so will be glad to see the back of it.
The new HowDidiDo app looks to be a vast improvement.

The igMember app is not free for 'premium' functionality (booking tee times, account top-ups, etc.). If you have all this and aren't paying, it's because your club pays for a subscription.
Even then, it isn't full functionality - that is only available via the member website, for which there is no extra cost.

My Club Systems club have let me know this will be live from Monday next, but I've had no communication from my Intelligent Golf club. Is there any word on ISV roll out differences?

Must admit there isn't much wrong with the IG app....works perfectly for what I use it for....which isn't a lot...in fact, if it didn't exist, I probably wouldn't miss it.

Doubt our club will fork out to bulk purchase it for members and can see a riot occurring amongst our Seniors when they find out they might have to spend £10 of their pension on an ad-free app. They moaned at the £2 the IG app cost.

So you could get a strange situation of a club not purchasing this for all members and the member refusing to pay £2.99 a year. How would a member be able to put money on their card etc if the club uses V1 for that kind of thing? I guess since you are not paying the £3 a year you won't have an account.

My understanding is that you will still be able to use the website, for everything you would be able to do on the App.
