My dad has asked me to research the new Powakaddy FW11. He wants a 36 hole battery to go with it but the prices are really steep. A few months ago lots of you were raving about an electric trolley but I cannot remember the make. I tried to do a search but came up with nothing.

He likes the pram type handle as his hands are getting worse as he gets older.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

I'll second that colint, there are lots of Gokart tarts on here.
Don't own one myself but many rave about them.
Pricewise, they are very good, excellent after sales service but my God!!!!!! They're extemely loudly coloured!

GoKart do now do a less bright option of a black battery casing so I believe. They're now £219 though. But still good value.

It's alot lighter than the competion, which is important when you have to lift it in and out of the car.

There's a full review in the 'reviews' section of the forum.

Thanks Homer

That would be great, He has now decided Powakaddy is too expensive and wants me to also investigate Motocaddy.

Thanks for all the info.

Hi Wackygolfer,

I’ve been using the Motocaddy S3 Digital on and off for the best part of a year. Although this model offers lots of ‘features’ such as temperature and distance measurement controls, some of them aren’t overly helpful! I think the Motocaddy S3 Digital is quite expensive at the moment, but with the release of the new Motocaddy S5, the S3 should fall in price.

In my experience of using the Motocaddy S3 I have had no problems, the battery life is good plus the trolley is sturdy and durable. I suppose with any golf product its swings and roundabouts when selecting the right model for you, in my honest opinion I wouldn't think there is much difference in performance between the Motocaddy and the Go-Kart, but for me the cost would be a major influence. Therefore I would also say the Go-Karts trumps the rest of the trollies on the market.

I don,t believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Played yesterday in 27 hole event and my trolley broke down on the farthest part of the course. I ended up pushing it! The switch has broken so I am off today to get it fixed.

Never mind about Dad wanting trolley , I wish I could have one.

PS Bobmac - The battery lasted 27 holes but I had forgotten to change it :o After all the trauma of the trolley my partner and I managed to win the scratch prize. £35 (possibly towards a new trolley )
