Already done Slaley Priestman for the first time this year. Going to have a look at Dunstanburgh, Newbiggin and when 'summer' arrives, Whitburn, Tynedale, Richmond (N Yorks) and Washington. That will just about complete a 30-mile radius of NE clubs.

How the heck have you played at Slaley with the amount of rain we've had  . It doesn't drain well at the best of times, but so far this year......Squelchy?

Talk them into it, it's a cracking place. If/when you play it, make sure that you definitely get to play 10-18 (there are 3 loops of 9). Those are brilliant holes.

I have edited my post Moor Allerton now booked, we will have no influence over the holes as it is an open we will be playing hopefully they show off their best holes.

It was treacherous walking between holes and 3 or 4 fairways were very boggy. Otherwise playable (it was a Sunday in mid-January). I'd like to see it in summer. Neil Coles did a superb job, some beautifully subtle and challenging holes.

Play Laranjal! It's amazing and not a villa in sight!

Stanton-on-the-Wolds
Chilwell Manor
Greetham Valley

Would like to try Atherstone with the old clubs as it looks suitably quirky and not far away.
Threatening to impose myself on the good nature of a couple of other forumers at their clubs. Haha.

Other places might crop up during the year.

So what new courses do people have planned for 2024

At the moment for me it’s just

Minchampton for a team open
East Devon
Thurlestone

And a little trip to Isle of Wight to play

Shanklin and Sandown
Freshwater Bay
Also doing Minch this year, the Texas scramble in their golf week.

Funnily also doing Thurlestone as one of our three courses in a May golf break.
