My local Sainsbury Homebase has a closing down sale. Didn't know until I got there.

I got a £39 Nordman Fir 5ft 6in Xmas tree for £27.30. Very chuffed as it was exactly what I went there for.
A £12 shower curtain for £8.40
Didn't have enough time to have a good look around.

Going back next week for another look-see.

Quality is great, similar to Footjoy imo, you just need to get over the Druid’s logo on it.
If they didn't put that logo on it quite so visibly, they'd sell a lot more

I've got a hoodie from Druids, can't remember which one, but it's not held up well to carrying at all. I've only worn it a few times and the right shoulder is VERY bobbly. It's also got really stained from something as well. Admittedly, it is white, but they're not super visible stains in terms of colour but more in terms of shine. I'm wondering if it's chemicals from the course. Every time I wash it, it gets worse!

I'm also not a huge fan of the polo I have, it seems to be a bit ill-fitting compared to my Adidas ones. The joggers are nice but have quite a few long loose threads so I'm a little concerned by that.

However, it is very good value and I'd be tempted to buy again. I have a couple of other items from them but I can't remember what they are.

So apart from the poorly designed fit, long loose threads, poor colour fastness leading to stains, low quality fabric leading to bobbles after only wearing it a few times, they're really good value. Great endorsement

If it doesn't get used before the day, I'll sneakily put some wrapping paper on it on the 24th.

Thanks very much for the idea. (y)

She won't be disappointed, I'm sure.
She was the one who chose it.
Our ironing board broke one Christmas eve and the wife told me to get a new one out of Argos on the way home. When I picked it up I said to assistant I just need somewhere to hide it until tomorrow, her face was a picture. She probably went home and looked at her hubby and thought he's not so bad after all.

Two posts in a row on this website that made me laugh. It truly is a Christmas miracle :)

County Golf doing 25% off their Ryder Cup stuff, and while most of the clothes don't really look anything special, that offer does presumably include the Titleist Stadry pencil bag with Europe branding, bringing it down to £75.
Code RYDER25. Tempted to stick that on the last minute Christmas list.
