I'm thinking of treating myself to a pair of myjoys (custom designed footjoys). I've spent a fari bit of time trying various colour schemes and wondered if any of my fellow forum members have their own shoes and if so what colours, logo's etc

Is it worth doing or am I being over ostentatious.

I've looked at these also and have spent many an hour with different colour arrangements.

When I used to play football I got a custom made pair of Nike football boots done in the same way as the MyJoys and they were slick alright.

Go for it mate, let us know what colour you go for!!

Clubchamp

That was actually my first idea - get my name on my bag but couldn't find anywehre to do it and thought it may be a tad OTT. At least with shoes it is more of a fashion statement as opposed to look at my name - especially of 14 when I can't always walk the walk

Out of interest do you know where I can get it done. I have a mate who is off 3 and would love it

we're beginning to sound like a load of old women (no harm to old women) but guys we're arranging our shoe colour lol, shall we move onto hairdoo's next? Only kidding guy's.

That's probably why I didn't spec my classics, I just saw them and liked them. I am not sure custom specing shoes isn't a bit, well, gay. (am I allowed to say that?).

Go for it Homer! I will most probably do it when i buy my next pair of shoes, it must be good having something that is completely unique and dissimilar to anybody else. My only issue is I would like a pair of reelfits and I don't think you can customize them as yet. Plus if you choose cleverly you will be able to co ordinate them with most outfits meaning you will certainly look the part, and remember the old saying- look good feel good. Definitely worth while in my opinion.

Homer

I've just bought a pair of the new DryJoys. Did not go for the customised version, plain black instead, they are great shoes. Very pleased with them. I bought them in the States for $120.00 :o , the price difference is ridiculous.

Homer,
I bought a new Powakaddy cart bag last week (lovely it is) and I found a zip that didnt seem to have any purpose so I asked my pro. After a few minutes of looking he got the answer. It comes away from the bad incase I want my name on it. Saves sending the whole bag away. Magic. I was thinking of getting Clubchamp07 on it. What would you lot think if you seen a bag with that on it? The only reason I wont is because I didnt win the club championship with the said bag!

I dont know where you would get it done but I was told our assistant pro got his name on his bag for as little as a tenner from a local shop. You never know maybe one day I'll get CC07 on mine. lol. I did get Club Champion 2007 onto one of my club jumpers and I love wearing it.

Hapless - I meant before the word got hijacked by a certain community, not the post got jacked. Sorry, could have made my post a bit clearer.

Go for it mate, just not the lime green ones, How much are they?

Like TonyN I had my initials and number on my rugby boots and it does give you a confidence boost and make you feel a little more professional.

Darren Clark always seems to wear really nice looking shoes, I know he is sponsored by footjoy but he don't have a bad eye for fashion.

That wasnt me HTL but I did have my initials on my preditors (courtesy of my football club of course)

(I take it you looked at the avatar instead of the username!)

I want a pair of my joys with the England badge on and my initials.

Would love to get my name on my bag but IMO you only qualify for that if you are a pro really. To me, nothing worse than seeing someone with all the kit, looking like a scratch player and then duffing his first shot, missing his second and ploping third in the drink. But thats just my opinion. Only other reason I would get it done is if i played for a county team or something and everyone had the same bags.
