I played in the monthly stableford yesterday off 11.4.

I scored 38 points after a shaky 1,2,1,2,0 points start and a then a very respectable 2 over gross second nine and have been cut to 11.2 which is the lowest handicap I have had - I hope that this is a start towards my single figure target for this year.

Congratulations. Can't wait to get a handicap so I can concentrate on getting it cut. Have to wait untill our course is back on ordinary tees.

Chris, Well done mate, but can you tell me why you were cut 0.2 when only 2 under gross,I thought there was a buffer...

To be honest I'm not too sure Rob as we were off yellows and the CSS was 71 I fully expected to stay the same, but, as I want to come down I won't be making a fuss!

that will be them new sticks chris.

Absolutely right OS. They seem to have taken the odd pull hook out of my game, in fact very little goes left at all which is a real bonus

Well done, single figures has got to be your goal now.

Dead right Tommo. Last years was to get from 14 to 10.5 - I got to 11.3 before slipping to 11.5.

New clubs and loads of range work during the past months feel like they are starting to pay off.

Great job sir, you must have had a great rest of the round after starting like that. Keep it up!

Nice one. I've decided to give up on the pursuit of single figures per se but try to enjoy my golf and find more consistancy. If I have a good patch and get cut so much the better. Only 0.4 to go before 13 and feel I can be good money off that. Get a shot at the 216 yard 17th then which'll help

That attitude may be all you need to get the "holy grail" I had a season a couple of years back, standing on the first tee in competitions saying to myself " you have to play well today and get a h/cap cut" it added more pressure and didn't work

Chris

Well played Sir!!

Thanks my friend. I played your course a couple of years back and really enjoyed it!

Chris

I think it's a cracking course (hence why I joined it.. :o). No two holes are the same, always a challenge and the members are a great laugh. Oh, and no joining fee!!

Anytime you fancy a knock, let me know.
