Not necessarily. I can't give you any more than that as my mind has gone blank :D

BUT, as a general rule, lower (but not too low, somewhere around 2200-2500rpm) spin rate is better as it will help give the ball a better (more penetrating) flight.

Alan i've already got it ,listening to Ministry of Sound Disco just now its superb :).

Goldenbare:- not sure about expectations to be sure mate, maybe get a driver fitting but was blown away with everything else ,watching and listening to Paul McGinley was class could have stayed there all day.Was suprised how short my carry distance was to be honest, but knocking a few to 235yards after the adjustment was good but my average 20 yard gain just shows how important it is to get C/F.Had never been fitted for a driver only my irons usually used to take from the pro shop and test them but not now C/F is the only way as the TM guys and Paul McGinley said

Oddsocks :- Knowing me i probably would buy it would trade the R9 in so not so bad a hit to be honest but first impressions are it would be well worth it.

Region3:- I've got an R9 460 so i can only adjust the shaft,on the R11 has the 2 weight ports, and the Red Bumper as they called which adjusts the face angle, open, neutral and closed, and you can adjust the shaft.
Mine was set with the shaft in neutral, the red bumper moved to the open positin and the weights i cant remember of the top of my head but the difference was there to be seen.

Jesus!!!! I had enough problems tinkering with the weights on my old r7. Don't think I could trust myself with all these adjustment options

On a driver you're looking for about 2400-2500 rpm. This gives the ball enough spin to keep it airborne but not too much that it will 'balloon'. Combine this with the ideal launch angle (12.5-13.5) and you get the best results.

Cheers steve, I've been hitting the 09 burner I have pretty solid over the last three rounds after some swing changes, with one of them rounds having 13/14 fairways hit in the stats. Yes we all like an extra ten yards or so but im not sure whether to upset the bag or not yet. I may wait for it's second updated version in around 6 months (if that) as I'm still curious as to the first model having this much adjustability for a club golfer.

Did anyone try the burner 2 superfast?

My G15 was up at 3700-3800!!!!

That is why I've ordered a Titleist 910 D3! Dropped my spin rate by over 1000 rpm however my launch angle was only 11!

Nope, they had them there but were VERY focused (it seemed) on pushing the R11, and rightly so as it was such an awesome club. The Burner looked magnificent though, but would probably be too light for my tastes, making it difficult to control. I'd say it was definitely one for the lower handicappers.

I dont think the burner is adjustable in anyway, do you may find while fitters were on hand thats why they stuck at that club, the burner seems more of an off the shelf club . If you compare the 09 burner, 2010 superfast burner and the r9 models the r9 has adjustments, the burner and the superfast don't

Na, it's not adjustable at all I don't think as the focus was keeping the weight down on the club. Like you say, probably why they focused on the R11. I was hoping for the R11 anyway. :D It's a fantastic club. I'm a TM Woods convert.
