Hi, I have a qi10 driver that I’ve had since September 2024 and recently I hit a slight skyball with it for the first time ever which has left a dent just above the face and slightly cracked. I was just wondering whether this is something that I can send back to Taylor made for a replacement as I am still under warranty? Thanks in advance

Doubt the warranty will cover it.
They’ll probably say the ball is only supposed to come in contact with the face.

I’d be contacting them. Skying a ball shouldn’t be cracking and denting the head, most people sky a ball every now and then.

I’ve never even looked at a TM driver since they went to carbon faces because of all these issues. Faces cracking, faces falling off etc. Just not worth the hassle when you have so many options and I had an M1 for 3 years which I loved.

It is definitely worth contacting them. One of my group had a Stealth driver and the red face became discoloured with the yellow balls he used. They swapped the head for a Stealth 2 free of charge so he was very happy. TM seem to have good customer service so worth the question. What is the worst they can say?

A phone call to tm won’t hurt, you’ve got a club fit for the bin so what’s the worse that can happen.

If you do junk it, keep the head cover , tool and shaft as they still have value and may give you the option to buy a TM head only driver or one with a non suitable shaft at a big saving.

Bought a TSR3 from GC4C which got delivered yesterday. 2nd hole today I skied it, one of those ones where you can only see half of the ball mark on the face, other half was above the crown. It didn't crack, it didn't dent and to my surprise it didn't even chip the paint. As I said earlier we all sky one from time to time, I'd definitely be in contact with TM.

this is the photo of the dent/crack.
The shot that it happened on hit part of the carbon face so it wasn’t a complete sky ball either but with the other half of the ball that made contact above the face left that mark. Any suggestions?

Hi, recently my qi10 driver suffered a crack just above the carbon face from when I hit a sky ball. Half of the ball still made contact with the face so it wasn’t a complete sky but the other half of the ball made contact just above the face which caused the crack. Just from one shot this happened and I was just wondering if this is something Taylor made can reimburse me with something as I am still under warranty? Thanks in advance

Can you not have a look at the thread you started earlier this year? Advice was to contact TM and see what they say. Worst that can happen is they say no but what have you got to lose?

Edit: Just seen you have tried to post on the original, maybe the mods can merge the threads?

Just wanted to post one with a picture so people understood the damage

Photo???

Your pic was probably rejected as the file size of the pic. Try compressing it or taking a cropped screenshot to see if that posts.

Same advice as nearly 3 weeks ago. Contact TaylorMade and send them the picture.

Sorry - the image didn’t upload. The crack can be seen just above the face, would this be eligible to claim a replacement under warranty?
