I've always had the occasional (ahem, semi-frequent) out-to-in swing path with my driver and fairway woods. I think its aggravated because I'm a leftie playing right handed (i.e. my golf swing is like my tennis backhand).

I've tried the whole "keep your right elbow down near your right hip on the downswing" approach but something's never felt quite correct with it for me - probably because I'm a natural leftie. I've also tried many other tweaks/thoughts to cure it, but none have made much headway.

A few days ago I focussed on getting to the top of the backswing as usual then pulling my left hand down to my right hip.... Bingo! I haven't sliced a single driver or wood since! :) I seem to hitting straight or with a slight draw, it just feels soooo much better and my confidence with those clubs has gone through the roof.

Anyway, it seems to have worked for me, so if you have a similar problem, maybe it will help you too. :)
