Most balls you ever lost in a round?

as its a bit windy and folks will no doubt be hitting the odd ob/long/short shots whats the most balls you have lost in a round?

so far mine is 4

i remember when i was a junior and had just taken up the game i lost about 20 in the first 6 holes and had to walk off lol!

I remember pishing myself laughing at the fact an old boy from my club had lost 14 after 10 holes and hung on for 19 lost after 18 at Montemayor a good few years back.....we ripped the pish right out of him and we were there 2 months later......

By the 10th I had shelled 8 but managed to make it in with no more lost.

To say my arse was twitching is an understatement!

I was playing one Saturday at Enniscrone and as we were walking to the 13th tee we passed a group of three yanks walking to the 5th and we asked them how they were getting on etc, they asked do we play every week here as they had lost 27 balls so far and they reckoned they might not make the front nine

Me personally it is 3 or 4 and that was soul destroying

I played Princes GC a couple of years ago when the rough was knee high, the wind was gusting well over 30mph and it was slating down. I lost 9 balls on the front nine and finished the last few with a pink lady i found on my travels.....it was brutal

In fairness, three of them were stuck in the windmill and some fishing gnome had the other.

I think Bognor council had a racket going.

A box can last me quite a while, although my nxt tours are taking a battering.

When I started out I never counted - too depressing!! Fortunately when you are knee deep in the thick stuff looking for yours you tend to find more than you lose!

I lost 14 round braid hills in Edinburg once. Joke was I shot 3 over h/cap the day before, and thought if I went back I could take it to the cleaners.

I brought cheaper balls after that and only lost 1 on the next round. I only loose balls when they are decent ones

Lost 12 new srixon z star in 8 holes last year. Every one shanked from the mid of the fairway.
