Most balls you ever lost in a round?

You lot that are saying 3 or 4 must have been great beginners or you can only hit the ball 50 yards. I go through balls like there is no tomorrow. When i was aying as a young teen i could easily lose 8 or 9. When i put my first card in last year i lost 2 off the first tee!!

Now i still lose at least 1 per round on average. Im delighted if i get through a hole round with 1!!!

Great post G1BB0 and it's reminded me of the most painfully funny rounds I've ever played. Must've been about 2 years ago at the Woodlands (I think?) in Bristol. Scorching hot Sunday afternoon with a mate, the pair of us absolutely hanging after a monster night out. We'd only just started playing so were in trouble from the off. Must've lost about 25 balls. The moment we came to one of the par 3's which involved a long carry over water we knew we were going to be losing a few. Ball after ball going plop. Had to abort after 14 holes or so as we were laughing too much. Brilliant but expensive fun!

Most in competition I lost 4 at Rathmore in Portrush but found 5 while searching for my lost balls.

Most in practice was 6. 4 of these on 2 river side holes.

Won 3 dozen Callaways for 2 nearest the pins and a longest drive in a pro am. My partners didn't take too kindly to it as the team were out of the prizes so only had 1 dozen left for myself + I lost 2 balls on the course.

And the funny thing was that he nipped down the course the day before to have a quick look around and declared that "it looked like it suited his game" and he felt that he "could do well there".
Luckily he managed to hang on to his last ball over the closing 6 holes, or he would have actually run out of ammo.

They are like buses for me. I can go several rounds without losing one, then I'll lose 3 or 4 in quick succession.
