Monthly poll: what's the most gross birdies you've ever had in one round?

Best birdie haul was 5 in monthly stapleford but also carded 3

5 for me (should have been 7) off the back stones at a previous club, 200yd+ 2nd hole (par 3), then the 6th (par 5), 7th (par 3) & 8th (par 5) on the bounce and then the 15th (par 4). I should have birdied the 16th & 17th also but they both just lipped out, this was my best gross round of 79 still to date.

I was really in the zone, as I walked off the 6th level par I just knew it was my day and found myself just switching off to any distractions and walked slightly ahead of everyone to get to the next tee.

3 for me, even off my high hcp! First on the 6th par 4, was a thinned 9 iron to a foot! 2nd wS on the following hole a par 3. 8ft from the pin and rolled the putt straight in! Had to wait for the 17th par 4 for the next, big drive left me a SW in, stiffed it to a foot. It was also the first time I broke 100!

After a terrible start where i doubled the first two I then played the next 16 in 4 under after 7 birdies and 3 bogeys.Just had one of those days where i peppered the pin and should really have been better after missing about 4 or 5 good birdie chances. Have not got close to 7 since and more concerned about keeping the bogey count to a minimum at present.
