TBH that's probably true for many folks
. I tend to putt from wherever possible so old faithful gets the vote. Goes back to the age-old 'it's great to leather a long drive' but those shots round the green are the real hero's..

In pure cost £299 for the Vapor Pro driver but used a spot 20% voucher from DG to purchase it and sold my old one via a popular auction site for £180 so only cost £80 in cash . That's using my blind logic of course and not taking into account the the £70 loss in 3 months on my Vapor Speed Driver........VICTIM !!!!

Has to be my putter - all the rest are just 'nice to have' - each of for which I have a reasonable substitute.

I recently purchased a Cleveland classic 3 putter and went from 48 putts to 34. This particular round included a couple if 25 footers being holed. This is the scoring club and I finally feel as I have found a friend for life! I should also say, I recently changed to looking at hole all the time through the stroke, just seemed to work for me.

My putting has certainly improved by leaps and bounds since I got my new putter couple of years back. Only time before the 6 shots a round it's saving me gets reflected in a handicap reduction. My problem is that my change of putter and improved putting coincided with me developing the most horrendous shank that I'm trying to sort. They were not related - but I thank goodness for my putter for keeping my handicap steady and for maintaining my sanity over the last two years

is this value one we attribute to a particular club through use or simply £; if the latter is it what we paid or the nominal retail price?
If the latter do we adjust the 20 year old putter @ £120 when considering it's value relative to last years SLDR mini @ 140?
is a 16 degree SLDR mini a 3 wood or driver?
and to cap it all the most used club in my bag round after round is my gap wedge....which isn't an option!

If the survey was interested in cost of purchase the question would have asked 'what is the most costly/expensive club in your bag?'
But then again that could be misinterpreted as meaning which one costs you the most trouble/shots?

I understand your logic, but thought that strictly it was worded as the one you could sell for the most money - and that didn't seem particularly relevant either (although there are some opponents who might pay for my SLDR mini to disappear...)

In monetary terms it would be the G25 driver but in terms of most valuable to my game undoubtedly the putter

Definitely my driver, has helped with consistency off the tee which has been a factor in lowering the handicap. Oh and it was a bargain too.

My driver would have cost me £250 new. I bought it 'as new' for £50 otherwise it would have been my most costly club.

My trusty 3 wood for me. Cleveland Mashie 15.5 please don't break :-/
My driving is ropey and this keeps me in play and is fairly long when the rest of my game is crumbling

Is this based on cost or cherished value or something else?
Cost wise, my mini driver is the most expensive club at about 230 quid.
Most used is probably my 52 degree vokey, all of my wedges are valuable to me personally as the have 3 out of 4 kids names engraved. Then we had the 4th, so i changed his name to Aeroburner Roots. It was cheaper.

7 Iron for me, it's my go to club for a large range of shots. Bump n Run, chipping from the fridge, hacking out of the thick stuff oh and of course hitting it full and landing gimme range from the pin everytime (honest!!)
