I buy my balls from the Cancer Research shop for 10p a ball and most of them are already marked, those that aren't get given to my 4 year old son to 'pattern up' however he sees fit.

Every mother tends to do dots nowadays so I put something on it that no-one else does......I think.

I used to also do the tee peg marks in a balata.

I have 2 stars. No idea why, got a free ball marker with my bag and that's the mot interesting shape.. I want a personalised marker from tincup, although not sure what I want yet.....

Always 3 green dots by both of the ball numbers.
And my childrens names Ryan and Tayla next to the dots.
Dots seem to be very popular,im sure its because of the dimples

Initial over the brand name, each side.

Friend of mine puts a number in front of the printed number e.g. "playing a Titlist 54".

Always initials for me..... only because about 5 years ago a cat 1 golfer at our club told me thats the best way to do it as someone else had played his ball the previous week. Apparently they had both marked their ball with a red dot next to the number. Weird how stuff sticks !!

I colour in the brand name in red marker pen. Very rarely I can't see one of them in the rough.
I also have a line for lining up putts but that's in black marker.
