Modern Day Shopping

Definately brought 3 to get free p&p! Online shopping is great, but you go and spend 60 quid and it's always that 3.99 p&p that makes you question the whole thing. Quite comical!

I had finished peeling and probably the nearest potato peeler shop would have been 14 miles away. [28 mile journey]
They would probably not have sold the one I wanted so it would have been a trawl around other shops until I found it.

Ever heard of a sharp knife? Wifey won't use anything else for peeling spuds.

then pick up your new fangled gadget when next at the shops.

A tip for peeling potatoes [ not for chips ], use a knife to cut a line around the spud , boil till ready and the skin will peel off in 2 halfs .

Online is the only way for me. I cannot shop during the week so it is either order online or join the scrum and stress of shopping on a Saturday. No real decision to make. Find it on my phone, click order and have it the next day.

I don't like shopping and I am certainly not going to 'make a day of it' by having lunch in a bland, overpriced chain 'restaurant' or by having a few coffees at nearly a fiver a shot. There is nothing to be gained. Retail staff have little product knowledge and I am better off researching online and ordering.

Didn't you get custom fit for the potato peeler? I mean, you need one that is going to be suited to your style of cutting.

No, but I did wish one suited to my style, dislike those modern ones.

Potato peeling along with dog poo collection, cleaning gutters, wild bird feeding, the bins and for some strange reason lettuce/cabbage preparation seem to be my entire household duties.

There was a collective groan detected on the internet a few minutes after the post above :D

And we wonder why GM wont print any more forum posts in the mag
:(

Well it was no skin off my nose ..... or potato.
