Quick question -

I'm off abroad soon (within EU) and I am aware of the now inclusive roam like at home usage. My country is included. Question is does 'data roaming' need to be switched on on your phone anymore with the new inclusive roam like at home policies.

Before the changes in June I always switched it on to use data abroad (and paid of course) but with the changes in June I actually don't know if it needs to be on anymore to access data when in one of the inclusive EU countries. Anyone know?

Outta interest jusme, how much data a month do you have. When I was in France I have 1 GB and it went like the clappers. Went into next months part way through the the trip and nearly used all that. A few of the places we went to had wifi but were charging a Flippin fortune to use it. Signals were very much hit and miss.

6GB a month and not a heavy user - never been a problem before so should be grand. Thanks all

1GB?

Wow thats nothing at all, I use that in a week outside of wifi networks.

Thats why I am looking to upgrade. what does my head in is that companies now give you unlimited txt and call times pretty much as standard. But how many actually need it.

PS, had a txt last night saying my data has been used for the month and it refreshes on the 21st 😳😠

Multiple sim only deals out there for under a tenner a month offering 3/4 GB a month. Last I saw was with plusnet last week at £8pm for 3.5 GB and 1500 minutes etc .....No need to be scraping buy on much less than that given the regular deals coming up daily
