Mizuno MP4 irons

I have a combo set with the RS1s, wouldnt swap them for anything
But why would you want a combo set? You either like blades or you dont (IMHO, of course!)
Anyway, original Q was anyone know where I can get a decent deal on a full set (3 - PW) of MP4s

Anyone considering getting a set of MP4's should also consider Orka PS9's or RS1's as I believe they are now called. Look remarkably similar and the Orkas have a beautiful feel to them. Shop around the Orka fitters and you'll probably save yourself a couple of hundred quid on the cost of the Mizunos as well.

Or, better still, get them 2nd hand and let someone else suffer the huge (unjustified but that's life with 2ndry brands) depreciation - saving yourself £300+ more!

I was offered a set a while ago, but couldn't see any value at the price the guy wanted, which was pretty low. Indeed nice clubs though!

Combo sets it seems are getting more popular

It's gives people some forgiveness in the longer irons and control in the shorter irons

bit more forgiveness in the 3-6 irons. when fitted was told id be fine with all blades but just wanted that bit of forgiveness in the longer ones

Might be on the hunt for the new Mizzys sooner than thought. Should get at least 0.6 from yesterday so hopefully be off 9.9. Another couple of good ones this year should see that single figure in my shots recieved box. 😃

as you are playing well with what you have why do you feel you have to change as you get lower?

Well these irons were second hand and standard. Maybe I can improve further with irons that are fitted to me. I also hit a very high ball so would like to explore the options of different shafts to try and lower it as I struggle in the wind sometimes.

Plus I like shines new stuff 😉

Had another try with these again today. was still not convinced on my ball striking ability with a full set of blades again.
Was still thinking of having mp15 though to 6 iron then MP4.

So had a crack again with the 15's with the s300 shaft and the MP4 with the KBS tour.

even a bad hit with the 4's went as far as the 15's and a good hit 10 yards further or more.

so will now have to look at the MP 4 with the 3 shaft options on the trackman.

In no rush so might even give it a couple of goes just to make sure.

I took the plunge on a new set of bats last Friday.
MP4 PW-8 & MP54 7-4.
Im coming from a set of mp53 so the 54s felt exactly the same which isn't a problem, I always thought the mp53 short irons were a bit large & lacking feel so Ive gone for the MP4 to replace them.
Hopefully they should be landing in the next few days

I am also looking at the MP4s, custom fitting session at the weekend. Spotted that www.onlinegolf.co.uk have the 4-PW for £649.99 which is the best price I have seen but (unluckily for me) they also have an extra 10% off until midnight tonight.
