Has anyone noted the feature in another well known magazine about the “Prazza golf ball” finally a ball with an internal microchip so you can find it with the handheld gizmo. The system, with 3 balls will only set you back £358.95, but each ball will last up to 120 rounds!!!(pinnacle in disguise)
You can buy a lot of balls for that (even Pro V 1)
I had to check the date of the issue, yes it wasn’t April 1st.
Quotes in the article are:
“ Research has shown the average golfer loses 4-5 balls every 18 holes” :D :D :D
“Might be good for the American Market” :D :D :D
“Cannot be used in qualifying competitions” (paraphrased)
“I wouldn’t want to be the first to try it”

ANY TAKERS forumers? Or feel a friend should?

Anybody feel a friend has one already as he finds his ball in uncharted land so regularly or has that pocket seam come undone again?

See the video, has Simon Holmes sold his soul to the Devil?

Ye I just read it earlyer, a little over prices maybe!!!!

hehe just watched the video "your going to save some money" I dont fing think so!

Don't have much of a problem knowing where my ball has gone - out of bounds off the course or into the bottom of the water hazard - not much use then. If it could retrieve them from out of those places then it would be a miracle golf ball.

I had one of those once,if it went in the rough it would bleep loud,if it went in the water it would come to the surface and come to the edge and if it was plugged in the bunker it would unplug itself giving you a perfect lie,my playing partner asked where i got it and i said,I FOUND IT..

If your ball's so deep in the rough that you need this to find it, you're not likely to be able to hit the bloody thing anyway.
Miracle if they ever sell any

Does it float ??

Am f****d then.

reminds me of a young enthusiastic golfer known as Madandra teeing of and hitting his ball in the lake on the left, he places another ball on the tee and hits it in the lake on the right, he does this several more times when a spectator suggests he uses an old ball instead of the shiny new ones,
to which Madandra replies

"I've never had one" :)

Ok lets say it works and you never lose a ball, pretty soon your going to be playing with the crappiest ball that marked and scuffed and you can't lose it.

Silly idea.

I freely admit to not being great at this game, but I as a 22 handicapper can go 2 or 3 rounds without losing a ball, then lose a couple next time.

I play once a week and would say I lose 3 balls a month.

They are AD333 so not the most expensive in the world, but often I will play with decent balls that I pick up in the rough (Like that Nike 1 Black I found last week)

I find more balls than I lose, so I cant see how I would ever recoup the cost of this gadget.

if it cost £30 then it might be worth considering as a novelty, but not at that price

Fragger

Fragger, I hope you're not dissing the AD333, I think every other player is using them at our club at the moment. In the group I played in last week we were all using them.
At one hole there was such an unusual bounce of a tree that we hadn't spotted from the tee that somebody even managed to play the wrong ball  as it appeared obvious to them which one was which until they reached the green

Have to agree. The AD333 is my favourite ball at this time of year (obviously when the snow isn't here and the course is open)

I use it all the time ATM, cheap and plays very well. May change once I get more consistent with my new irons :D

I can go rounds without loosing a ball but after a round or two a ball looks beaten up if I do not loose it. Only used about 5 packs of 12 all year I think and I have played a LOT of golf.

If I have played 27 holes a week on average since I started in March (sounds about right as some weeks in the middle of summer I played on 4 or 5 days!) I get about 16 or 17 holes out of a ball :D
