I'm looking at changing a couple of things in my bag at the moment, 2 wedges and, adding a strong 3 wood so that I can take the driver on some days for the tighter courses so that I don't sacrifice a great deal of length but improve accuracy, would also mean I could take out my 15degree wood making room for an extra wedge.

Plus seeing as equipment is getting no cheaper, i've come across in a local shop some MD Golf Norman Drew wedges which look very nice, but more importantly they have a 13degree brassie (2wood) which looks like it could fill the void I want.

Its not something that would be in the bag full time, just in there for those course's and occaisions I feel its needed, so wondered if anyone has experience of this companys products.

I have used a lot of MD stuff , they make very good gear at a decent price and should not be discounted.

Rather than the 2 wood, consider a 2 hybrid (about 17deg). Works for me like a strong 3 wood and easier to hit out of rough too.

MD have a good name for well-priced wedges. I know a couple of people who love theirs.

Don't see how that'd work as the 17deg hybrid, would cover the same length as the 13degree strong 3wood/2wood. I have strong hybrid already and the strong 3wood would allow me to drop the regular one as the hybrid could cover that gap. Appreciate the advise though, also notice you have a GoKart, how do you find that.

Yeah, sorry, just re-read the post! :o
As for the GoKart, I love mine, and there's very few people who don't when they get one. There are some who haven't liked it, but as they offer a 28 day money back guarantee trial period, you've nothing to lose.

It's lightweight, yet pretty robust (I've yet to break it), and simple to fold/put up. Add to that the customer service, which is brilliant (and not just cos it has to be, as some naysayers would have you believe) and it's a cracking bit of kit.

I've just ordered an MD seve icon chrome wedge (52) to go with my other MD one.

I like them.

HOWEVER. :( I did have a hybrid which was...um...um...

you will see from my signature I use plenty of MD clubs, in addition to the irons I also have an MD Superstrong driver as a backup.

I can highly recommend the Norman Drew wedges, great to look at when addressing the ball and generate crazy amounts of spin.

MD gear appears well priced - specially from Dunluce.

Tried a couple of their wedged and they felt pretty good. Not sure about woods though. As SR posts, worth comparing to RBZs (though I have doubts about TM stock shafts). There are plenty of historically great (Sonartec, TEE etc) 2-woods available on Ebay too.

Having owned a few clubs from the cheaper brands I would have no hesitation using md wedges but tend to prefer benross woods and hybrids

Dunluce offer the best prices as they tend to have the older ranges. I got my wedges 48* Seve Icon and NV Drew 54* and 60* from them and can't fault the clubs. In fact I love them. They are well know for quality wedges which surpass the expectation given by the price. I am planning on getting a new set of wedge next season and will be going for new MD's as I can get the lot for fraction more than a single Vokey. I also have MD Seve Icon hybrids and they are excellent. Considering a Seve Icon white headed driver in the future as well. The latest MD gear is getting better and better.
