Matchplay - incorrect information

I'm lost. The detail may be in there somewhere but I'm blind to it.

Is it player A just short in 2, and player B over the back in 2 but getting a shot?

After asking his opponent which ball was his & due to what ever misunderstanding LB was of the idea his opponent was on the green with a shot ,
He then played a different shot (to get up & down) than he would have had , if he had known his opponent was actually through the green ..

I have a comment BUT They are mates so best to stay out of it ..:D

Player B either a lying cheating scumbag or a misunderstood scamp, Player A chucking toys out his pram, Player C laughing his head off....

... or something like that!

Peter, my dear, that thought process shouldn't even be in your head. Everybody knows me better than that.

Anyway, that's the last time I'm popping my nuts in the palm of your hand..

It didn't, but I said it so that people who dont know you, appreciate your a good guy. My intent was to show to strangers on here that you are an upstanding pillar of the community. It was done with good intent. Misunderstandings, eh - a bugger arent they.;)

Aye, Gary

Totally incorrect - Player A had had 2 and was about to play his 3rd onto the green.

Player B was through the back for 4, and yes he was on a shot.

Anyway, the whole point of this post was to ascertain the rule, not the characterisation of the players involved.

As clearly demonstrated with my reply to Gary. Apologies my little cherub pie.

Sarcasm is a bugger, too ;)

So is a fuggy memory.:ears:

For more context, the reason why I wasnt watching both players shots was due to me finding a dropped scorecard on our fairway, which I thought would be from the slow group in front, and it also only had 7 scores on it, so was a current card. The group in front was playing a nike matchplay and we knew one of them, so I went ahead and across to give one of them their scorecard back, which could have been important.

Always the gentleman.......;)

Oooh, they were slow were they pmsl.

But it's serious, and if you don't take it seriously, Pete will stamp and stamp and stamp his feet till he cwies!!
(only kidding Pete)
Looking at his posts he is deadly serious and already crying.

Peter doesn't like losing ha ha

If I was like that, it would be because I'd studied for a PhD in it, under the tutelage of our own Mr. Birchall.

The helicoptering lesson took place at the Hogwarts quidditch arena.:)

The PHD i cover only shows people spectacular ways at spitting the dummy out at ones own terrible golf rather than some dodgy technicality :whoo:

Your PHD must have been run by Rafael Benitez, FACT :D

I'm still looking into the technicality. I've got a dutch manuscript from 1605, which may shed some light on it, although the handwriting may be familiar, so will have to write it left-handed.:)

I hope, and presume, that this is you attempting to swallow ones pride?

It it should be. Categorically.

Please clarify for everyone ;)

PS: I've been asked to change my avatar. Strange that!
