Match Report - N.W. mini-meet

I would agree with that Dave, his drive on the third seemed to disapere, good job non of those belugers(sp) were coming into land I was telling you about.

Sorry Andy, but how funny was the drive on the 10th, yet again, another look of dis-belief as the bush attacked his passing ball!

Vig, I like the look of the winter warmer offer, lets get that setup asap me thinks!

Its all good guys, it has meant the fun of yesterday has continued into today as well. May be up for a trip over the penines to your place Vig. Just promise me there isn't quite so much bloody water. 3 lakes and 13 ponds, is there any need?

You guys will have to play it from summer tee's next year, Believe me, the water doesn't come into play half as much.

Mind you saying that, how many times did we find the middle of the fairway and were still in a pond :D

Andy, have you seen the winter warmer offer at Dave's(vig) place? 17.50 for a round and meal afterwards. Its £15 just to play as a guest. £25 for a visitor!

If you want to come up with some dates i can do it at short notice.

Andy, Not so many ponds but still a chance of finding water, has to be an errant shot though.

Also less than a mile from M62

I was in the peak district today, not a million miles away from you i dont think.

I'm Guessing Tuesday is too short notice? but what about next week?

This Tueday would have been ok but I am conducting a disciplinary process at work and it may take most of the day

I am not working Thursday but if you prefer earlier in the week then the following week would be better.

Do you get the same days off every week?

Tony....

one of these bad boys overhead would have had me in the ponds and hiding in the rushes.....

imagine seeing this above you preparing for the island green!!!

Dave, believe me when I say they are right over head almost each time I play in the week, so close you can read the numbers on the wings, I think I even hace a video, if I can find it, I will upload it!

Tony

I'll back you up, these planes are really low when they come into land and an amazing sight.

If you thought the course was wet yesterday you should have seen it earlier in the week, I managed to play 9 yesterday and felt it was much drier.

Glad you enjoyed the Mollington experience, shame you couldn't play off the normal tees nor hit a second shot over the lake on the 7th, an experience in itself

About time I took some people down to princes again.

Can't come soon enough but might play a tad more difficult if the current weather patterns persist.

I seem to remember that you were thinking about a more local game on 22nd Nov. Is that still a possibility?

Good luck with your impending nuptials. Is it this Saturday or the next.

Tony (or anyone else interested)
Went out today and played 15 holes before fading light stopped me.
The course is in fantastic nick considering the amount of rain we've had.
3 fairways have a little standing water, no more than a few feet.
Greens are superb, in fact as good as i've seen any at this time of year.
I spoke to the pro as I came off. No plans for mats yet. He said that they were discussing this the other day and they may only go with mats on the 3 par 3's and probably not until late December.
He said that he had played Fulford last week and although their greens were cut shorter and as such a little faster, they weren't in as good a condition as ours.

All in all looking very good for the next few months. If only people will repair their pitch marks
