I'd kind of agree if it weren't for the often pious attitude of the BBC. Points of View is a hilarious watch as they are never, ever wrong.

Agreed and he gave her the stage which she willingly took. He did play into her sense of "paranoia" however and we can't know for sure what would have happened interview-wise without his lying.

It does wind me up when people or organisations cannot admit a mistake. I come from an industry where errors are admitted and then corrections, to stop it reoccurring, are taken.

Never warmed to Bashir, thought he was slimy and that was confirmed in the Michael Jackson interviews. One minute to Jackson’s face he’s sucking up to him, then behind his back he’s slagging him off. No excuse for what Jackson did, but have the backbone to say it to his face.
