I saw a comment from Scottdj1 about these gloves on another thread, just wondered how they compare with other rain gloves. I've got a pair of FJ rain gloves which are OK but if the MacWets are better I'd be interested in getting a pair.

Any thoughts please?

Look in the review section, a nice thread all about these in there.

How much are they?

Top Flite used to do a rain glove for £4.99.

I washed the car with it and took it to the range to see if it worked....which it did.

MacWets have a high reputation and a high price tag no doubt.

Anyone else seen the Top Flite ones?

They are fantastic, wore them on the first day of the club champs last year, 7000+ yards playing off a 15 handicap and shot 84 in the rain! Was something like 30th in the gross!

I wore them the second day too and ended up coming 2nd in the nett!

I swear by them if there is even a hint of rain!

I've seen them around the £28 mark on t'internet but there are a few different versions.

The golf ones with the mest at the back are the ones I have and gave me the nickname of Tommy Two Gloves at my home course as I wore them so often!

All this reminds me I need to wash them soon!

I think it's time I bought some of these.

For anyone who has a pair, how does sizing compare to other regular golf gloves.
I usually wear the Srixon leather ones in a small, so a comparison to those would be ideal.

Thanks.

I think they do 2 styles, the normal wet cloves then winter wet glovfes which I think are a little thicker and warmer.

You can get them for around £20 on ebay or £25+ on the Glenmuir site, its strange that they are not availabel at a lot of the online golf retailers.

They are a little dearer but bear in mind its a pair so about £10 a glove isnt too bad and I really cant fault them, its so nice not faffing around wtih trying to dry grips and re-securing the bag cover to keep everything dry.... just let it all get soaked !!!:whoo:

I bought my second set from my pro shop for £18 for the pair. In the wet weather they are the first thing to get put on.

Having tried the new/unreleased footjoy glove out recently I might well be transferring to those when they come out.

I have both the fj and macwets and for me the fj are better the macwets seem to get really slimed and feel pretty horrible when wet.

Okay, strange, mine get very tacky and grippy, the wetter they get the grippier they get. i even tipped some water on them the other day as thye rain was intermittment so everything was wet/dry/wet/dry. Was best to keep it all wet.

Which FJ ones do you mean? The 'rain grip' glove out at retail now or the secret hush hush not out yet ones that BTatHome trialed?

£28 for the pair. Absolutely worth it!

When the previous thread on Macwets started, I remembered mine were on their last legs, googled and found American Golf selling them for £10 a pair post free - got a pair promptly then told a friend but by that time they had doubled in price.

The retail ones although I had the hush hush ones too and as soon as they come out I will be getting a pair.
