Tell us why you love playing golf in Scotland....

Our favourite four comments will each win a dozen Srixon Z-Star golf balls.

Feel free to add pictures and video.

The history, the tradition, the scenery and yes, the weather!!

Can't beat playing Golf in the land of its birth.

I love playing in Scotland because I live here first and foremost ;)

Links golf is where it all began and there are no better links course to be found anywhere in the world, you can pay top dollar to play the likes of Muirfield, Kingsbarns, The Old course etc or you have the hidden gems with honesty boxes where you pay your green fee's like Dunaverty or Durness for example. The quality of all these these courses rarely drops. West coast or East coast, there is plenty to entertain and few are alike.

The social scene of clubs in Scotland is pretty unique, everyone is welcome regardless.

The warmest welcome in the world
The coldest weather in the world

The best golf on the planet

Unlike many places where you can experience four seasons in one day, golf in Scotland lets you experience four seasons in one hole.
The unique and rugged landscape also allows for some beautiful courses that flow naturally and don't feel man made.

Playing in Scotland means you never get bored of your home course. With the Wind, Rain, Hail, Sleet, Snow and even the Sun appeared this year. Each hole will never play the same way twice. Perfect value for such a frugal bunch.

Best country in the world

Love golf in Scotland?...you can count the ways... 600 Years, 578 Courses, 236,000 Players, 18 Holes, 14 Clubs, 1 Ball, 1 Nation ;)

You can play the same courses that Park, Morris, Anderson, Braid, Taylor, Vardon, Hagen, Jones, Cotton, Thomson, Player, Palmer, Nicklaus, Watson, Ballesteros, Faldo, and Woods have played for a fraction of the equivalent cost elsewhere in the world.
You can soak up the atmosphere.
You can enjoy the food and drink that makes Scottish produce the envy of all.
Meet the people, most of them will like you!

But most of all, for golf, we are just miles better than England.

Always have an annual pilgrimage North of the border and recentl played Royal Dornoch, Downfield and The Glen this year.Ultra friendly, great value for money excellent facilities providing excellent catering at affordable prices. BTW. "The Mrs" enjoys the shopping in Inverness, Dundee and Edinburgh!

In summary, the courses are equal to any, superior to many and inferior to none!

Golf in Scotland, it’s more than a game
It started here and is never the same.
From Musselburgh to Muirfield, North Berwick or Dunbar.
All these great courses and not very far.
It doesn’t cost much, the people are great.
Love golf in Scotland, there’s no debate.
