Was surfing YouTube the other night and came across this wee video featuring Spey Valley and Boat of Garten. It'll give those playing Spey Valley on the Friday a little insight into what to expect for the trip;-

I'm loving that shot out of the rough at 2 mins 30 secs! Think I might have taken stroke and distance relief myself!
I'm now making a 4 day trip of it. It looks like 6 or 8 of my little band of golfing warriors from Clark's Bar have decided to visit Boat of Garten a day before the masses arrive (36 on Friday, 60 on Saturday and 48 on Sunday!) for a practice round there and a stomach liner or two in Aviemore on the Thursday night. That way they'll be finely honed to golfing perfection on the Saturday at Castle Stuart....or not.
We're also ideally situated to help out with some transportation of far flung forumers from Inverness Airport back down to Aviemore on the Friday morning. Counting the days already.
Oh, forgot to mention. For those playing at Nairn apparently it's now the second best tourist hotspot in the world. Erm...really. My mates from there have been e-mailing me stuff like this all day.
