Hi there,
I have been a member for a few yrs now and as you might see, I am a watcher rather than a poster. But I felt that I had to share with you all how I lost my golf cherry today.

Myself and my best mate, you might know him as Delb, were playing a round of golf on our new home course. haddington GC in East Lothian, yes we are a hardy bunch up here in Scotland!, I was playing not to badly considering the near 30 mph winds, having scored 18 stableford points on the front nine and 7 for the first 4 coming home when Derek and I stood on the 14th tee, We were faced with a 117yrd shot into the teeth of the wind. I decided to hit a 3/4 7 iron and it flew straight as an arrow, pitching 5 ft beyond the pint and then proceeding to screw back and into the hole. OMG what a feeling it was and still is)) I can die a happy man now.

Hi Neil, awesome news however may I point out to you rule 12, appendix (v) of the Machrihanish March Madness trip rules, where it quite clearly states that any holes in one from December onwards means that the first round will be bought by the expert golfer who had the hole in one.

28 drinks can be rather expensive do make sure you have sufficient funds, especially at the prices they charge you for a nip in the Dunes clubhouse!

Congrats mate. Been playing 20 years and I still don't have one. Holed my second on a par 5 once though but even though I picked up more shots it's just not the same.
