Losing weight/fitness thread

CrossFit Open starts tomorrow. I've entered. I'm feeling a tad queezy having seen the first workout. Burpees are my friend...

As many rounds and reps as possible in 15 minutes of:

3 lateral burpees over the dumbbell
3 dumbbell hang clean-to-overheads
30-foot walking lunge (2 x 15 feet)

*After completing each round, add 3 reps to the burpees and hang clean-to-overheads.

Makes my 150 squats with a medicine ball and a 30 minute treadmill walk seem very pathetic.

3 days on the trott at the gym. Easier session tonight but still a decent 50 minute workout. Mainly dumbbell workouts and a bit of cardio chucked in at the end. If I can fit it in I might go tomorrow as I'm out on Saturday and possibly recovering on Sunday!

You deserve every ache and pain that you are going to get next week :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Good Luck!

Did the wife and I curry goat last night. Forgot how lean and low cal it is. Unfortunately I made it too hot for the wife lol doesn't matter I've got it left over for lunch (think the scotch bonnets in the rice and peas was a step too far for her)

Got to work today and one the bosses said he cooking everyone sausage sandwiches.. (I had brought eggs to scramble) so rather than having 4 sausages in bread with everyone else I got him to leave me 4 sausages. I had 2 (2 saved for the morning) scrambled egg. Grabbed some beans from the shop (half a can) and 1 slice of toast. Much more protein

Mate, I see you're trying and suppose that deserves a 'like', but what you're typing isn't really good.

Sausages are devil food for diets, you're all over the bread (don't tell us it was Warbies tihck white please), lashed with butter, then end with the justification of protein.

Forget the bosses sausage treat - eat your eggs!

I'm meaning no offence, but encouragement is tough reading the foods you're choosing and how easy you go off plan.

Yeah definitely agree sausages are evil however I won't stick to things if everyone else around is eating nice stuff and I'm stuck with scramble egg on toast (at home we have switched to chicken sausages in the main, tbh never been a sausage fan, more bacon so I'm not fussed)

Just balancing it all out. Including myself in things but whilst not going overboard

Plus I'm still stuffed from that it's kept me from shuffling over to the shop and having a few bags of Doritos

Quick edit add here

When I went to the nurse last week my cholesterol is well within the healthy range and the good cholesterol the same aswell. Same with the blood sugars being low. I'm trying to keep a balance between happy and healthy. If I go much further I won't be happy lol just need to make sure my numbers remain healthy in the long run

Give chicken sausages a go. I've found Heck spring chicken good or the Aldi Italia ones.

Yeah we use them at home, I can't dictate what others are willing to cook for me for free lol 😆

The wife and I been having chicken chipolatas which are what 66 cals for 2 with tones of protein

You dont have to eat everything you're offered tho.

Everything in moderation is fine, 4 fatty sausages in 2 days isnt moderation;)

Apparently my goal is 74g of fat , with today's food the log is telling me I'm on 54g of fat (including my dinner I logged already)

Not awful

After picking up a twinge in my groin, the cross trainer sessions have taken a back seat over the past 2 weeks. Hoping to get back into them this week, but not rushing it. I’ve stepped up the weight sessions to 5 per week. Really enjoying, but will likely drop a day when back to doing the cross trainer.

Been off the last week for half term. We’ve eaten out a few times which I’ve thoroughly enjoyed, as well as some cheeky beers too. Diet wise, I think the changes I’ve made are now ingrained. I don’t feel like I’m on a restrictive diet - just largely making better choices. All about balance though. I wouldn’t want to not go out for a meal or enjoy a takeaway. Or a few pints at the match.

Weights this morning, got up at 6am to get it done, I’ve went off the rails a bit since getting home on Wednesday night 🙈🙈🙈

Smith Machine Barbell Bench Press - 3 Sets
Smith Machine Incline Bench Press - 4 Sets
Smith Machine Close Grip Bench Press - 3 Sets
Cable Rope Tricep Pulldown - 3 Sets

45min run tonight as well 😀

Sunday got 8.5 miles in at around half marathon target pace. Think I could have gone on for another couple of miles.
Last night got talked into a faster group, when I should have gone in the slower one. Bailed out at 4 miles as we were running past where we started, right calf just felt tight.

Tonight is supposed to be an easy 4.5 miles will see how I feel later.
Also another kg lost last week. Might need to dig out the belts soon.

Today was the first bike ride since my CrossFit 25.1 workout on Friday when my triceps didn't nag all the ride. Talk about an ill-sitting hen! Who knew triceps were so engaged holding the bike handlebars.

I worked out that it was 84 burpees in the workout though so...
