Full lunch meal prep in action 🤣

5% mince steak chilli and a veg soup on the go. Should get 5 portions out of this. Added carrots to the base of the chilli as I don't eat enough veg plus a load of spinach along with the mixed beans. Mixed veg soup again to try get more veg in.

Bought some cottage cheese to try this omelette and cottage cheese!! Anyone tried this yet? I'm not exactly looking forward to it!
I add frozen peas to mine too, very easy and if you count the carrots, peas, onions, tomatoes and beans, that's your 5 a-day, albeit only 1/2 sizes so you really need 10 a day like that. I believe that in Japan they go for 10 a day for that same reason.

Edit: It makes the dish really colourful with the carrots and peas in too. Very appetising.

We went out last night for a curry and kebab feast as our goodbye to weight gain 🤣

Cook books are out, alcohol is packed away. Turkey being defrosted and a massive pan of home made chicken soup on the hob.

Will report back in a few months when I'm another stone down. and at my goal, started Jan 2024 🎉

PS: Weight loss changes your golf swing. In my case for the better.

We went to the harvester for lunch with the kids. I ordered this "balance bowl" steak one. It's 8 Oz steak with salad basically. Looked amazing. Couldn't finish it. Uncomfortably full now lol 😂

Did you just eat the steak first or did you have any salad? Should be making sure you keep the diet balanced

The glucose goddess has a series starting on channel 4 next week. I will be watching.

Never heard of her but a Goggle search has piqued my interest. I'm pretty lean and fit (even though I say so myself!!) but really need to eat better. Way too much sugar and simple carbs in my diet - especially in the mornings. So I'll watch with interest and think about making some changes.

I follow a few just for exercise ideas, but I’ve just redone a TPI assessment and have a personal plan for me.

I did this at the start of last year, dropped a stone and improved my golf “fitness handicap” from about 18 down to 9. 2nd baby arrived in March, so I didn’t keep it going. Just now picking it back up.

Sweet tooth here too. So often I eat for the sweetness rather than being hungry. Also means too many simple carbs/unhealthy choices. I really want to up my cycling this year so need to fuel my body a bit better.

When did cold porridge become overnight oats? Someone has done some great marketing to make porridge trendy 🤣

I've had it for years as a summer breakfast. With greek yoghurt and raspberries/strawberries - lush. I do prefer cold porridge which is weird as I went to a rough Scottish boarding school as a kid and the grey, gloopy, lukewarm porridge should have put me off for life. Mind you. I have it sweet, not with salt, and on the runny side.
