Looks Like a Cut is on the Way

What's the point in entering a competition if you don't want to do well.

I agree, I always set out to do my best whatever that may be, however, doing well and winning are two different things. Depending on the handicap level that you play off winning is not always a realistic option. Playing to or under CSS is what I'm looking for when I set off. If anything else comes of it then so be it.

But divisions within the comp take care of that. Since returning to a full course a couple of weeks ago 37 points has been consistently a 'podium' position in division 1 and 2, which is easily achievable by anyone in my eyes.

"Managed to shoot a net 63 again"

Richard: Anyone that can manage to shoot a nett 63 again is not going to be very popular, and perhaps well over due for quite a HC reduction.

Enjoy it while you can, for one thing is for sure, .......when you get a lower H/C like 11 or something, 63's will be a thing you can only dream about, as you watch those 27 Handicappers take all the prizes........again.

Just to clarify, I am desperate for a cut, tried all last year but never held it together in a comp round. To be honest, was more interested in breaking 90 for the first time and was annoyed to miss out again. The reason I hit net 63 before without a cut was because it was a non qualifying comp off the yellows. I would far rather have a low handicap than milk results off a higher one so long for the day when I can chunter on about high handicappers winning all the comps (though out of interest, I finished second to a person scoring 44 off a handicap of 7.9)
