Now I realise that this may be a totally alien concept for the majority of forum members that change clubs every 10 minutes but I have just had the lofts on my irons checked.
i have had the clubs about 3 years and decided, after lofts of bashing against a range mat, that it was time to get them checked to make sure they were still what they should be.
i found that my 5,6 and 7 iron were only 1.5 degrees different instead of the nice 4 deg per club spread. Most clubs were 2 to 3 degrees out with only one that was only half a degree out. All the clubs were more lofted than they should have been so I was potentially losing quite a few yards with each club.
So the advice if, if your clubs are old, get them checked. Best £10 I may spend;)

I've got a set of titleist DCI's that need checking and regripping.... Was at direct golf and they were offering 'free' loft and lie checks - had a quick chat with the guy and said I'd like to bring them in have them re-gripped and checked - the catch £30 adjustment fee lol.

will take them to my local pro.

My pal is a club builder and i have personally seen him take delivery of a set of callaway apex irons and not a single club was correct.

My 5 iron out the shop was 3 degree's weak too

I've had my MP52 irons from 2nd hand about 4 years ago, I've checked the lofts twice and perfect every time.

The have had a fait bit of use and range mat (ab)use but seemed to have held up perfect

Just local proshops everytime, ones now closed and the other in Hampshire. I did have DG check but wasn't a loft n lie machine. Pot ably going to do it at the cambridge driving range opposite work. I go there at lunchtimes now.

Most pro shops should have a loft/lie machine and be able to do it. As the longer nights come I might drop them in after practice and pick them up the following day and just get them looked at, out of interest if nothing more. Not sure being relatively new how off they'll be
