if it being mentioned on here recently, i dropped my 5-pw Gap and SW off at my mates today to have the L&L checked.

Didn't bother with the 3 and 4 as i've not used those that much.

Sw was off by 2deg
gap 1deg
pw 1 deg
9 iron 2 deg
8 ok
7 2 deg
6 ok
5ok

all stronger.

Had them 2 years, i play a fair bit, but don't hit many shots at the range.

so if you have forged iron worth getting them checked.

Am I right in thinking my ping G25 won't have changed loft in the 3 years I have had them as they are cast? Hit them on some pretty thin mats!

Afaik, it's not simply forged/non forged in terms of the lies/lofts changing over time. I was told my Vokey wedges (not forged) were off last time I checked.

with cast the loft is usually correct but if you ordered non standard lie angles then these can be off. i have 3 degrees upright and had them checked out the box. they ranged from 1 degree flat to 4 degrees upright

Mine are yellow dot so 1.5* upright

I remember doing this and posting something similar with my 52's, it was amazing how much they were out, I got them checked after my 6 & 7 irons were far too similar, which on checking them they had become about 1 degree apart! They were also a couple of degrees up which didn't suit me, best few quid per club I've ever spent at the time.

And given that a 3 degree gap between clubs is not unusual, one club a degree strong, the next a degree weak, and hey ho, pretty flipping similar.

I think i may have posted more or less the same thing some 5 or 6 years ago when i had my MP62.

the PW on those was way out and had more loft than my gap wedge. 7 and 9 were the other way.

the surprising thing was the 2 clubs that have been in the bag the longest, the MP10 gap and sand wedge hadn't moved that much considering how much use they get and age.
