Taking my irons forn a loft and lie check as I need 1 degree flat and these were 2nd hand standard fit. As they are forged I am assuming the lofts and lie may well have altered especially being a 6yr old set of clubs.

I have seen others posting about this, did you find your clubs had altered much from purchase?

Call it me being a bit fussy but with new wedges due I thought I may aswell get the irons sorted before the spring and lots of rounds kick in. It may even be something I get done annually, we shall see. (my teaching pro has his done every 3 months lol).

Right off to the range and pro shop :)

If you practice with specific irons at the range they may well 'wander' a bit. Through normal use I'd only get them checked every two - three years :-)

I had mine done yesterday but this is the first time since I got them so can only assume they were right when Titleist sent them and therefore hadn't moved much. The lofts were mostly to spec, the 5i & 9i were a degree weak but the others were ok. The lie on all of them was pretty much right except the 9i which was "miles out". I had them all flattened anyway on the advice of the fitter.

just make sure you get you irons dynamically assessed for lie ie those irons to your current swing - absolutely pointless otherwise (with the exception of picking up a rogue in the set as someone else has pointed out)

I wouldn't worry about 1 degree. Anyway manufacturers do not use the same specs so different brands vary by a degree or so. The main issue isn't whether they are in spec but whether they suit you. If you need them altered to suit your swing, fine.
