When I played the E Lothian Links Cup some 7 years ago it was played off 75%. However after 4 rounds the winner was a single figure guy from N Berwick. The year later it was the infamous John Freeman off 12.

Lads I’m after a bit of advice
Me and few mates are playing Turnberry on may 11/12 Through the linksgolfcup
We are looking to play on the Wednesday close to Turnberry before we head home but can’t decide where?
Royal Troon is just to expensive and no visitors Wednesdays
Western gailes prob is favourite thats 185 each to play which just might be to much though
Any advice on other quality courses that offer good value would be appreciated

West Kilbride GC should be in really good nick in May also reasonably priced mid week.
The Darley in Troon is very cheap , it's a Muni course tough, rough and can be a bit untidy but a good test, greens should be good in May.
