Keys + Gray back in work already

Mike Dickin was a legend and sadly missed. John Gaunt was a lamb to the slaughter and it didn't surprise me when he got the boot. H&B are quality but Adrian Durham owes his career to Ian Wright. Without Wrighty's contribution a couple of years ago Durham would have been long gone. Is he all that.... eff off ya bell end.

Because I am in the car for up to 8 hours a day I enjoy debate rather than music so TS is always on.

Not sure I agree about Adrian Durham. He was at Talksport a long time before Ian Wright came along. I think it's testament to Durham that he always gels with the ex pro's. He is an argumentative so and so though, especially when he's with the wee Irish fella, can't think of his name.

I know Durham has been there for yonks but he was plodding on and covering when people were late or failed to turn up.I think he has adopted Wrighty's attitude and demeanour on air and he is so far away from what he used to sound like I think he is fake.

Two things that rally irk me about TS:

1. You have to pay a fortune to get on air or pass on your thoughts and its even more expensive to text.

2. If its a double act presenting (except H&J) you will always find one will have a controversial opinion in order to get a reaction from listeners who will text and call thus making them a lot of wonga.

Fair point about Durham. Like you Madandra, I'm in the car all day in between calls, and never had the desire to phone in, or in fact the time, hanging on the phone waiting.

One of the things that has always annoyed me, is when a caller has a very good point and not necessarily what they want to hear, and how they brush it to one side and sometimes not even come back to the caller!

Mike Dicken was very good. Gaunt was obnoxious, kept referring to 5-Live as 5-Dead. The whole station is supportive of Sky and so anti-BBC its irritating. Mike Parry, Brazil and Andy Townsend not bad. Ian Wright and Cascarino were just plain embarassing, Hawksbee's false laughter at just about everything Jacobs says is cringworthy. Durham is the worst of the lot for me, speaks shi*e to deliberately wind up the public - but it works so they keep doing it.

The punters are what makes the show remotely listenable. I hope Gray and Keyes dont turn out to be another good cop bad cop routine.

The only talksport show I listen to at all is Hawksbee and Jacobs. The rest I find are liars, self opinionated bores with their own axes to grind

+1

Adrian Durham and Darren Gough must be the worst show on Sports Radio.

I whole heartedly agree with this. Their agenda is to contradict each other or be controversial the same way Durham and Wrighty did just to get you to text at 50p per txt and call in and fill their coffers.

If Radio 2 or 5 Live had someone good on from 4pm each day they would clean up with the ratings.

Didn't mind it too much when Wrighty was on it. Can't stand Darren Gough though. It was said on another thread that Jonathan Davies had a high pitch whine, Gough is 10 times worse
