Kaymer not using R11

Just watching the matchplay and noticed Taylormade's star performer not using the R11 he so proudly promotes.

Anyone know why?? He is using the rescue R11 though.

I noticed Luke Donald is using it but that's already been mentioned on here about him with irons contract only but has to use a mizzy headcover.

I would think he might eventually start using it. Especially as he's using the fairway woods, but when you're in the form of your life, you don't change your clubs (unless you're G-Mac , but then he kept his Driver as well).

All signs of character and experience, to be displayed with pride. I never mind wear and tear when its the product of proper sporting endeavour, competant or otherwise.

I thought the whole idea of the white paint was to not show the sky marks

You guys just don't get it do you - the removable / adjustable head is not for setting up draws and fades its for when you sky mark it so you can throw it away and bolt on the new one

When he first joined TM he was using old tp irons not the latest set. He still uses his ping putter (that must drive TM Mad) I don't think he is a tackle tart unlike some people I could mention but I just think he gets comfortable with something and sticks with it. I bet he is testing it like crazy when he is not in a comp and would think it would be in his bag before the second half of the season.

This white driver thing is actually quite interesting now. It is now hugely obvious, even to the undeducated eye, which Taylormade pros are not putting their latest models into play but also which non Taylormade pros are using their kit. I mean a Mizuno headcover was not going to cover up what Donald was using. Not sure who gets the better PR, do Taylormade win by showing those who are not on their staff that use the clubs or do they lose by showing which of their own pros will not use their latest models.

Don't forget Cobra have done a white limited edition driver. MD are letting one loose as well. Don't think it'll be too long before some others do too.

Why does he need to use the latest offering. Surely TM get all the publicity they need from him being a contract player and world number 1

I just find it annoying and hypocritical when he's plastered all over the magazines, R11 in hand, when he obviously either doesn't like it or it doesn't give him more. Similar to when Quiros was advetising the Callaway Diablo Edge range of drivers but he still used the FT-5.

Not saying it's Kaymer's fault but it's not right.
