Fellow GM golfers,
Would appreciate some good advice. I have recently moved from North Greenwich (SE10) to Wimbledon Park (SW19). On earlier advice, I was fortunate enough to join Sundridge Park a few years back (36Y male, 17.0 Hcp; previously member at Westerham GC). While it was previously a 20-25 min drive away, it is now around 1h each way, so a casual 9-18 holes on the weekend is going to be more challenging.
While I think that Sundridge is hard to beat, particularly post their 2-year drainage improvement programme (it sits on London clay and on top of the Lewisham floodplain) and has a great member base (relaxed, friendly, happy to pair up), I am considering options closer to the new home, and wondered if you can share your experience / know of any members at the below here who would be kind enough to show me around:
I may well have missed a number of others, or the view may be just to keep my card at Sundridge Park and put up with a longer commute..
Good advice will be reciprocated with beers!

- Royal Wimbledon GC (10 min drive): I hear great things, and unlike Wimbledon Common / London Scottish / Richmond Park, there doesn't seem to be a public right of way? Not sure if there are any short-game practice facilities / driving range or the waiting list. Colleagues who are members at Roehampton say good things about their course, but also advised a ~3 year waiting list (!).
- Coome Hill Golf Club (16 min drive): the course looks great, and still easily reachable for a casual round / possibility of playing comps on the weekend (usually in the City till late Mon-Fri)
- St George's Hill (35 min drive): I understand that joining fees are steep (c. 15k) and again, unsure of the wait list and the practice facilities.
I may well have missed a number of others, or the view may be just to keep my card at Sundridge Park and put up with a longer commute..
